Playing Men (2017) by Matjaž Ivanišin is about men that play, men that play the roles of men, male actors and about Ivanišin himself (who is also a man). The article deals with the filmmaker’s ironical attitude towards his subjects and their comicalness, but also touches on the westernesque nature of otherwise documentary images, questions about the representation of the male (body) and Ivanišin’s play with the form.
