The Practices of Fictionalization and Their (Future) Doubles
The Sprawl (Metahaven, 2015), a documentary design fiction and ‘propaganda about propaganda’, and Come to Me, Paradise (Lumapit sa Akin, Paraiso, Stephanie Comilang, 2016), a science fiction documentary, each in its own way examines the contemporary problems related to the status of reality and its technological suppositions, thereby opening the questions at the heart of contemporary philosophical thought. What I have in mind here is mainly the contemporary strands of continental philosophy and the questions of particular regimes of thought (theoryfiction, myth-science) posed by epistemological accelerationism as a peculiar opposition to vulgar (left or political or New) accelerationism.
