All That Glitters Is Not “Comic”
The text questions the usefulness of using the word “comic” as an adjective in film reviews. It defines what exactly can be said to be exclusively comic, that is, specific to the comic medium. The author provides some examples in which the terminology is the same for film and comic media and some examples of successful practices of transferring a work of art from one medium to another. She also identifies the differences and similarities between the terminology of film and modern comics, which appeared in public in the same year.
