Dry Grasses as a Metaphor of Life
With his latest creation, Nuri Bilge Ceylan, who first captivated audiences in 1995 with his short film Cocoon (Koza), once again delved into Turkish society and again left some questions unanswered. Through the main protagonist and the cinematic portrayals of Anatolian landscapes, he unveils everyday intergenerational and friendly relationships, while pondering the individual’s relationship with society.
