Film and Genocide

Based on Jonothan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest, the text focuses on the practice of instrumentalising the Holocaust to legitimise the Zionist project and genocide in Gaza. The Zone of Interest is read trough Claude Lanzmann’s Shoah (1985); the text argues that the lessons of two of the best films about the Holocaust teach us to oppose the Israeli occupation of Palestine and the genocide of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
