The text analyses David Lynch’s cult series Twin Peaks (1990–91) through the psychoanalytic concepts of fantasy and the Real, highlighting digressions as points of rupture in the fantasmatic illusion. It considers these digressions as key mechanisms in both the establishment and the destabilisation of the symbolic order, where the intrusion of the Real is reflected in narrative and structural disintegration.
