Through a comparative analysis of the dramaturgical elements, thematic emphases and directorial approaches in Handcuffs (Lisice, 1969) by Krsto Papić and Quit Staring at My Plate (Ne gledaj mi u pijat, 2016) by Hana Jušić, two films made in different times, the article maps the characteristics and changes in the genre of the so-called Mediterranean drama.
