The writer and film critic Damir Radić is one of the most interesting filmmakers of recent Croatian experimental cinema whom the film festivals and other film institutions often do not acknowledge and recognise. In all his filmic and social activity – as I show in this analysis of his films (Malena, Idiotska noć 2, Djevojčice, Samo je zemlja ispod ovog neba etc.) – Radić, a relatively new filmmaker in the field of film experimentation, satisfies the ambitious poetic demands of such films in the best possible way.
