Lonesome Heroes, 1900–2016

The article deals with the use of late Leonard Cohen’s music in film. Through recent work of the two contemporary filmmakers – Lewis Klahr and Marko Grba Singh – that have used Cohen’s ballads, the author examines how the visuals are combined with the soundtrack. Through a conversation with them, he discusses their connection to the music used.
