Music Videos and Films: Ways of Their Coupling

The article deals with elements that define the elements of the cinematic (narration, gaze) in relationship with the elements of music videos (liberation from narration, performance, breaking the fourth wall), drawing on Carol Vernallis and Gilles Deleuze (his differentiation between Figure and figuration, scream and horror, sense and story). It tries to locate what prevails in a certain genre and how and why it is that image supports music or vice versa.
