Through the comparison of film and maps the question of orientation in the modern world is put to test. Film and maps are established as two times of screens that reduce the outer reality, while at the same time being its structural condition. While comparing analogue and digital maps, different regimes of watching are looked at; a question poses itself – whether ways of representation could be linked to the ways of establishing a subject. Through formal and storytelling procedures the relationship between film, digital maps and its derivations (augmented reality [AR]).
