The author draws upon his own personal experience as a musician and describes the creation of the musical accompaniment for The Wind (1928) a silent film by Victor Sjöström, which he created with Lado Jakše at the behest of the Slovenian Cinematheque. It was part of the Kino Uho cycle and was performed on 1 July 2013. A live musical accompaniment turns an »ordinary screening into a performative gesture, reminding us that every work of art, even a film, which may seem fixed and immutable, is constantly being reinvented through the perception of the individual – becoming a unique and unrepeatable artistic event.
