The article considers Space Dogs (2019) as an attempt to overcome the anthropomorphic representations of animals in cinema. It searches for the parallels with the problems that animal representation poses for cinema in the philosophical concept of correlationism and the idea of Umwelt as formulated by the biologist Jakob von Uexküll. The article attempts to find answers to the philosophical and theoretical problems in Space Dogs.
