The text deals with the directorial debut of musician Tomaž Grom, the short experimental documentary Can’t Wait for You to Come (Komaj čakam, da prideš, 2021). Drawing on the complex and by all means devastating layers of feelings and thoughts that the film depicts and processes extremely coherently, a reflection on Grom’s filmic, montage-based processing of loss emerges.
